Meet The Team
Kristen Sugarman, RD
Kristen has been practicing in the field of nutrition for the last 20 years. She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Nutritional Science and then went on to complete her dietetic internship with Sodexho. Her initial experiences included more generalized nutrition education and counseling. Kristen then moved into a job at the University Medical Center of Princeton in their inpatient and outpatient programs for the eating disorders unit. She worked at the hospital for over 7 years starting as a Dietitian and then being promoted to the Nutrition Coordinator for the eating disorder unit overseeing a team of Dietitians. Since that move in Kristen’s career, she has focused on disordered eating, eating disorders, sports nutrition and working with people to improve their relationship with food and body in order to break the diet mentality. While at the hospital Kristen started her private practice in 2006 with a focus on eating disorders and a non-diet approach to weight maintenance. Kristen truly loves working with people on their own recovery, if it is from an eating disorder or the negative cycle of dieting. There is an importance to breaking the disordered rules that one creates in an eating disorder or dieting. Health looks different for every person and Kristen individualizes her treatment to meet you where you are in your journey. It is not always about what you are eating, but also about how you think about what you are eating.
Kristen loves to stay busy when she is not working. Kristen is married and has 2 kids. She loves to travel with her family and explore new areas. Kristen loves to play golf, ski, hike and watch her kids as they do their activities.
Kelly Davidson, RDN
Cultivating a positive relationship with food and your body can be really tricky in this society, especially when we are constantly surrounded by diet culture, as well as weight stigma. Recovering from an eating disorder, disordered eating, and/or body image issues can feel like a near impossible feat when trying to navigate it on your own. A supportive, weight inclusive, non-judgmental space can be the key to finally ditching the food rules and negative self talk which keep us feeling trapped.
I am passionate about helping individuals of all body sizes nurture a positive relationship with food, movement, and their bodies. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating and have worked in multiple levels of care including intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and inpatient.
The journey to food freedom can feel overwhelming and confusing, but I am here to support you every step of the way. I encourage you to schedule a discovery call if you are curious about how I can help you in your journey.
